This agreement sets the terms for using LocalePilot. LocalePilot is published under the GLabs325 brand (glabs325.com) by Ramah GUEDEGBE, sole trader (entrepreneur individuel) registered in France under SIREN 523 501 765, 235 rue Saint-Honoré, 75001 Paris, France (the "publisher"). The publisher's business is the development, publishing and maintenance of mobile apps and software. Contact: localepilot@glabs325.com. By installing or using LocalePilot, you accept these terms.
1. Product
LocalePilot is a desktop localization workbench for developers. It imports, validates, edits, translates, reviews and exports localization files that you select on your own computer.
2. License grant
Subject to these terms, you receive a non-exclusive, non-transferable license to install and use LocalePilot on supported desktop operating systems.
- The free plan can be used without payment, within the limits described on the pricing page.
- A Pro license is granted once the purchase is paid. It is perpetual and does not expire. It covers every 1.x version of LocalePilot, including 1.x updates released after the purchase, and any major version (2.0 or later) released within twelve (12) months after the purchase date. A covered major version includes all of its updates (for example 2.x), up to the next major version. It can be active on a limited number of devices at a time. A major version released after that period may be sold separately, with a reduced upgrade price for holders of a license for an earlier version. The versions covered by the license remain usable with it. The device limit and the length of the trial are those shown on the pricing page at the time of purchase.
- Pro features include, for example, cloud AI providers, projects without the free plan limits, the glossary, AI audit and the App Store listing. A trial period may give access to them for a limited time.
3. Your files stay under your control
LocalePilot is designed to keep your localization files under your control. The app does not overwrite your files silently: export creates a backup and shows a summary of what was written.
You are responsible for reviewing exported localization files before shipping them in your own application.
4. Third-party services
LocalePilot contacts third-party services only when a feature you use needs them:
- Polar (polar.sh), the Merchant of Record, to activate, validate and deactivate license keys;
- the cloud AI providers you configure with your own API keys;
- GitHub, which hosts the update feed and the downloads.
Your use of those services may be governed by their own terms.
5. AI output
AI-generated translations are suggestions that you must review. LocalePilot does not guarantee that generated translations are accurate, complete, culturally appropriate, free from legal risk or ready for production.
6. Restrictions
You must not:
- bypass license activation or the limits of the free plan;
- redistribute LocalePilot or license keys without permission;
- reverse engineer the app, except where applicable law allows it;
- use LocalePilot in a way that violates the terms of a third-party provider.
7. Updates
LocalePilot checks a static update feed to tell you when a newer version is available. It never installs an update without your confirmation.
All updates, including new major versions, are offered to every user, with or without a Pro license. Pro features are available only in the versions covered by your Pro license (see section 2).
8. Warranty disclaimer
LocalePilot is provided as is, to the extent allowed by law. It is a developer tool and may contain bugs, incomplete format support or limitations that come from AI providers.
9. Limitation of liability
To the extent allowed by applicable law, the publisher is not liable for indirect damage, loss of data, loss of profit or business interruption resulting from the use of LocalePilot or the inability to use it, including when it results from an AI-generated translation (see section 5) or from the export of a localization file.
The publisher's total liability towards a user, for all causes and over any period of twelve (12) months, is limited to the amount that user actually paid for the license during that period.
This limitation does not apply in case of gross negligence or intentional misconduct by the publisher, or where applicable law forbids such a limitation, in particular for personal injury or for mandatory consumer rights that cannot be excluded by contract.
10. Loss of access to Pro features
Pro features may be disabled if a license is invalid or revoked, for example after a refund, or if it stays offline beyond its grace period. LocalePilot does not delete your localization files when access changes.
11. Purchase and refunds
Licenses are sold by Polar (polar.sh) as Merchant of Record. The sale itself, invoicing, VAT and the consumer right of withdrawal are governed by Polar's terms of sale (polar.sh/legal), not by this agreement, which only governs the use of the software. Prices shown on the pricing page exclude VAT: Polar adds the VAT of your country at checkout. In addition, you can ask for a refund within the period shown on the pricing page by writing to localepilot@glabs325.com.
12. Governing law
This agreement is governed by French law.
If you are a consumer living in the European Union, the mandatory consumer protection rules of your country of residence still apply and prevail over this agreement where they conflict with it. You keep the right to bring a claim before the courts of your place of residence where the law allows it.
Any dispute about this agreement that cannot be settled amicably falls, failing that, under the jurisdiction of the French courts.
